If you saw Starry Night at the Museum the soundtrack has probably drawn your attention. Indeed, most of the music are classical pieces by different authors and periods from the Naxos catalog (www.naxos.com). In line with the overall objectives of the show, the aim of this selection was to bring to a wider audience works of art that are often regarded as “high culture”, while they are immediately accessible for their beauty and their ability to create atmospheres and convey emotions.

  • Symphony No 1, 3rd movement
    Gustav Mahler
  • Concert Op 9 No 2 in d minor, 1st movement
    Tomaso Albinoni
  • Apollon Musagete. The birth of Apollo
    Igor Stravinsky
  • String Quartet nš5 in A major, Op 18-5 (2nd movement)
    Ludvig van Beethoven
  • Hungarian Dance No 5
    Johannes Brahms
  • Bachiana nš 5 for soprano and cello
    Heitor Villa-Lobos
  • Xerxes. Ombra mai fu
